Raitaritarin raita-asu

Raitapusero on valmis ja neuloja tyytyväinen. Tykkään tosi paljon Mandarin Fiestan väreistä. Muutenhan lanka on ihan Samoksen kaltaista ja Samoksella korvattavissa. Juska pyysi ohjetta ja yritin nyt jotain kehitellä. En ole aikaisemmin ohjeita kirjoittanut joten suonette anteeksi mahdolliset epäselvyydet ja kysyäkin toki saa jos jokin tuntuu ohjeessa menevän ihan metsikköön tai jos olen unohtanut jotain tärkeää (mikä on todennäköistä).

Käsialani on aika tiukkaa, sen takia en saanut aikaiseksi ihan vyötteessä mainittua tiheyttä. Käytin silti 4,5 mm puikkoja koska samasta langasta pipoja neuloessani tuntui 5 mm puikoilla tulevan aivan liian löperöä jälkeä.

I made this little striped sweater for my baby boy. I saw these beautiful bright colored balls of Sandnesgarn Mandarin Fiesta in yarn store and just had to buy them. It's a top down raglan and the stripes are 10 rows wide. I wrote the pattern also in English.

Ohje:

Puseron koko: pituus 33cm; ympärys 56cm; hihan sisäpituus 20cm

Lanka: Sandnesgarn Mandarin Fiesta: vihreä, vaaleansininen, tummansininen; himpun verran päälle kerä kutakin.

Raidat ovat 10 kerroksen korkuisia. Neulominen aloitetaan halkion takia tasona, yhdistetään myöhemmin ja jatketaan pyörönä.

Puikot: 4,5mm pyöröpuikot

Tiheys: 18s ja 26 krs=10x10cm.

1. krs (np): neulo helmineuletta ja jaa työ silmukkamerkeillä osiin seuraavasti: 4 (etukappale)+9 (hiha)+20 (takakappale)+9 (toinen hiha)+4 (toinen etukappale)

2. krs (op): neulo helmineuletta, lisää kerroksen lopussa 4s (neulo jatkossa lisätyillä silmukoilla helmineuletta)

3, 4 ja 5 krs: kuten 2 krs

Nyt on puikolla silmukoita 12+9+20+9+12

6. krs (op): aloita sileä neule ja raglanlisäykset. Neulo kerroksen 4 ensimmäisellä ja 4 viimeisellä silmukalla helmineuletta, siitä muodostuu halkion reuna.

Halkio: Kun olet neulonut tasona yhteensä 23 kerrosta (luontireunasta laskettuna), on aika yhdistää halkion puolet ja aloittaa neulominen pyörönä.

24 krs (op): Laita oikeanpuoleisen puikon ensimmäiset 4 silmukkaa (helmineulereunus) esim. sukkapuikolle ja siirrä tämä puikko vasemmanpuoleisen puikon taakse. (Sukka)puikko ja vasemmanpuoleinen puikko ovat nyt rinnakkain ja puikkojen kärjet osoittavat samaan suuntaan. Neulo halkion silmukat pareittain yhteen (kuten esim. kolmen puikon päättelyssä toimitaan, vain ilman päättelyä). Nyt on työn keskellä 4 halkiosilmukkaa kahdeksan sijaan.

Neulo jatkossa sileää neuletta pyörönä. Jos teet raidallisen version, siirrä samalla värien vaihtumiskohta sivulle.

Jatka raglanlisäyksiä joka toinen kerros yhteensä 15 kertaa kunnes työssä on 178 silmukkaa: 50(etukpl)+ 39 (hiha)+ 50 (takakpl)+ 39 (hiha). Siirrä hihojen silmukat silmukanpidikkeille tai langanpätkille ja jatka vartalon neulomista pyörönä . Työssä on 100s.

Kun koko työn pituus on 31 cm, neulo vielä helmineuletta 5 krs ja päätä.

Hihat: Ota hihan silmukat puikolle ja poimi lisäksi kainalosta 2s. Puikolla on 41s. Jatka neulomista pyörönä ja kavenna hihan alapuolelta noin joka 10 krs 2 s. Itse tein kavennukset joka raidan alussa. Kun hihan sisäpituus on noin 18cm, neulo vielä helmineuletta 5 krs ja päätä.

The pattern:

This is a top-down baby sweater, knitted entirely in the round. It has a wide neck opening to make dressing easier.

Finished measurements: length 33cm/ 13”; chest 56cm/ 22”; the length of the sleeve, measured from the armpit to the cuff 20cm/ 8”

Yarn: Sandnesgarn Mandarin Fiesta (55% cotton and 45% acrylic, 87yds/80m=50g) green, light blue, navy blue; a little over one ball of each color. The stripes are 10 rows wide.

Needles: 4,5mm/ US 7 circular needles

Gauge: 18st/ 26 rows in Stockinette stitch= 10cm/ 4”

Cast on 46 stitches

Row 1 (WS): work in seed stitch and at the same time, divide stitches with stitch markers into four sections: 4 stitches for the right front, 9 stitches for the right sleeve, 20 stitches for the back, 9 stitches for the left sleeve and 4 stitches for the left front.

Row 2 (RS): work in seed stitch. At the end of the row, add 4 stitches (added stitches will be worked in seed st also)

Rows 3-5: as row 2

You now have 62 stitches (12 + 9 + 20 + 9 + 12)

Row 6 (RS): Begin knitting in Stockinette stitch, keeping the first and last 4 stitches of each row in seed stitch for the placket. Start the raglan increases: *knit to within 1 stitch of the marker, M1, k1, slip marker, k1, M1. Repeat from * to the end. The raglan increases are made every other row.

The placket: When you have knitted 23 rows (counted from cast-on edge), it’s time to join the two halfs of the placket and start knitting in the round.

Row 24 (RS): Place the first four stitches of the right hand needle to a spare needle, a double pointed needle works fine. Place the spare needle behind the left hand needle, so the spare needle and the left hand needle are parallel to each other and they both point in the same direction. Knit the edge stitches together in pairs as you would do in “three needle bind off” (without binding off, of course). Now you have only four placket stitches in the middle of the front and you can begin working in the round.

Continue knitting in stockinette stitch. If you are making the striped version, it’s good idea to move the beginning of the round from the middle of the sweater to the side.

Continue making the raglan increases every other row total 15 times, until you have 178 stitches (50 st for the front, 39 stitches for one sleeve, 50 stitches for the back and 39 stitches for the other sleeve). Place the sleeve stitches to a piece of scrap yarn or a stitch holder and join the back and front stitches for knitting in the round. You now have 100 stitches.

When the work measures 31 cm/ 12”, work 5 rounds in seed stitch for the bottom edge and BO.

The sleeves: I knitted the sleeves using magic loop method, but double pointed needles will work fine too. Take up sleeve stitches from the scrap yarn or a stitch holder and pick two more stitches from the armpit to prevent a hole. Knit the picked stitches through their back loops. You have now 41 stitches. Continue knitting in the round and decrease at underarm “seam” 2 stitches every 11 round. When the sleeve measures 18 cm/ 7” (measured from the armpit), work 5 rows in seed stitch and BO.
